We came away from Brantingham Road with a point on Monday evening after a competitive 2-2 draw with Maine Road.

The sides went into half-time level at 1-1, with Cian Donohue finding the net for us during the opening 45 minutes. It was a closely fought contest, with both teams having spells of pressure and little to separate the sides.

The game remained finely balanced after the restart, and Cian was on target again to complete his brace. Maine Road also found a second goal, with neither side able to find a winner before the final whistle.

While we had less of the ball overall, we remained dangerous when opportunities arrived and showed a clinical edge in front of goal to make sure we left Brantingham Road with a share of the points.

Our passing was more evenly spread across the pitch than in recent games, with 62% coming through the middle third and 24% in attacking areas. We continued to look for opportunities to move forward when in possession and made the most of our chances, scoring twice from seven attempts.

It was another valuable league point on the road, with Cian Donohue's two goals proving decisive on the night.

Looking Ahead

A hard-earned point on the road sees us continue our league campaign with another positive result to build on. We'll take plenty of confidence from the performance and now turn our focus to the next challenge.
